On February 23rd, U.S. Coast Guard Sector San Diego hosted a ceremony highlighting San Diego’s recently awarded U.S. Coast Guard City Designation. Jerry Sanders, Congressmember Scott Peters, Mayor Kevin Faulconer, and the Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard all spoke to the strong partnership between the Coast Guard and San Diego, and how the Coast Guard has been a major part of the community locally.
