Sophie Barnhorst

San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce

Sophie serves as Public Policy Advisor to the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, developing and executing various policy initiatives. She leads the Energy & Water Committee and Defense, Veterans & Military Committee. Sophie represents the Chamber at the San Diego Military Advisory Council Board of Directors, the City of San Diego’s Pure Water Working Group, and the U.S. Coast Guard City Steering Committee. Sophie graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a degree in politics, and has experience working in local city government and government agencies including the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority and the offices of U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein and then Councilmember Todd Gloria. Prior to the Chamber, Sophie worked as a program assistant for I Love A Clean San Diego.
