AMBASSADORS ARE THE PRIMARY LIAISONS TO MEMBERSHIP. San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors ensure that member needs, questions and concerns are heard and addressed by the Chamber. The exchanges between members and Ambassadors keep the Chamber's efforts in alignment with the desires of our membership. Ambassadors play a vital role in member retention, recruitment and communication.
Being an Ambassador provides extended business contacts through active association with other volunteers and members, professional and community recognition, enhanced credibility amongst peers, as well as expanded communication and marketing skills.

Salar Baktash
Let's Insure
Salar Baktash has been a member of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce since he moved to San Diego in April 2010. His primary focus was to expand connections and build relationships, as well as become an active part of local politics. Since the Chamber provides a broad conduit to get to know local business and political leaders, he felt it was a great fit.
As one of the Chamber’s newest ambassadors, Salar works to address member needs, questions and concerns are heard and addressed by the Chamber. In the ambassador role, Salar has been heavily involved with an array of Chamber members, fellow ambassadors and Chamber staff to ensure that the Chamber efforts align with the needs and wants of the membership. Salar hopes to improve member retention, increase recruitment and strengthen the effectiveness of all Chamber communication with members.
Salar's role as an ambassador has provided him with the opportunity and ability to significantly expand his business through participation in Chamber activities and interaction with other volunteers and members. In addition, Salar has enjoyed greater professional and community recognition due to his ambassador role. Salar views his role as an ambassador, and his affiliation and participation with the Chamber, as one of the primary reasons for his success in the San Diego insurance marketplace and an avenue to continue to grow his business and reach his goals.
