A Note From The Chamber President

May 3, 2012    |     News From The San Diego Regional Chamber Of Commerce

Today, I am in Silicon Valley for a statewide gathering of business executives, elected officials and others including former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Governor Jerry Brown to discuss trends shaping business and politics throughout California, including San Diego’s local economy.

. . .

We will be addressing some of these same issues during the upcoming < style="color: #0084C8; text-decoration: none; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:12px;font-weight:normal; text-align:left;"href="http://sdchamber.org/events-and-programs/chamber-events.html?go=1335855600&eID=153#Leadership-Delegation-to-Sacramento-2012">Chamber visit to Sacramento on May 22nd.

I hope you will be able to join me, Chamber Chairman Mark Leslie and other San Diego business leaders as we meet with state Senators, Assembly members and other state officials on issues ranging from job growth, business regulations, taxation, healthcare reform, water, transportation, education, and more.

Decisions made in the State Capitol affect San Diego’s economy and quality of life.  Join us as we strengthen the voice of business in Sacramento, and build relationships with participating business leaders from our region.  Click here for more information.

 . . .

Also, I hope you can attend the Chamber’s Networking Power Hour & Small Business Awards Reception on May 31st, as we recognize and support some of San Diego’s most dynamic small businesses.  Click here to learn more about our efforts to highlight and help small businesses in San Diego.

As always please send me your thoughts and suggestions at president@sdchamber.org.

Sincerely,

Ruben Barrales
