Public Policy Committees

"Chamber membership is still the best and least expensive way in town to stay up-to-speed on current issues and to be at the table for critical policy discussions... I really think all regional business people should consider joining the Chamber and getting involved in one or more of their policy committees... Membership is a small investment of your marketing dollars and time for a big return on your knowledge base and networking opportunities... It's a good way for you to invest in the business Community in 2010!"

- Marcela Escobar-Eck, Principal, Atlantis Group, LLC, Innovative Land Use and Strategic Planning Services

The Chamber's policy committee structure is carefully designed for Chamber members to get involved and participate in the important process of making sure that the business community's voice is heard

Each of the Chamber's eleven policy committees meets monthly to examine and take positions on issues of importance to the regional business community. Each committees' recommendations are forwarded to the
Chamber Board of Directors  for additional review, discussion and formal adoption.  After a policy is adopted, the Chamber disseminates the information and communicates the position with the appropriate elected officials or regulatory body.

All San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce members are welcome to join policy committees that are relevant to their expertise and the needs of their company.
