SBA and Regional Chamber honor local businessman, Financial Services Advocate of the Year

San Diego, Calif.— A San Diego businessman has been named the small business Financial Services Advocate of the Year. The San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Administration (SBA) will honor Ric G. Schroder, Vice President of First National Bank, as the winner of the small business Financial Services Advocate of the Year award at the 2000 Tribute to Small and Emerging Business Awards Luncheon.

Schroder was selected from a variety of nominations from across San Diego County. He has extensive experience helping to finance small businesses over the last decade. Schroder also works with the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Emerging Business Center and sits on the recognition and awards committee, honoring small business successes.

The Annual Tribute Luncheon celebrates the National Small Business Week taking place this year from May 21 to 27. The San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce and the SBA are planning the annual Tribute to Small and Emerging Business Awards Luncheon on May 25. This year’s theme, "A Salute to the Stars," honors the entrepreneurs who have helped create one of the best economies in decades. The luncheon, to be held at the Town and Country Resort & Convention Center, will feature dozens of local award-winners.
